MY OPINION.
I recently received an email notice that a one “ikeiaconis” had subscribed to my blog.
Like any other blogger who writes for the satisfaction of her readers, I was flattered- and like always, I ventured over to his site to respond in kind. Once on the page, I began to reader a telling story of defeat and triumph, with the savior being none other than PROJECT A.W.O.L. Intrigued by the “reversing of the young man’s fortune,” I read on.
As I did so, I came upon a one Kameron something or another who stood on a video with his friend DREW, and preached to us nit wits about how he spent 36,000 dollars to learn web marketing only to fail and then dump another 20,000 dollars into a mentor who showed him a better way thus making him RICH at the age of 24.
To tell you that I wasn’t initially sold on this idea of leaving the bounds of everyday life where hand to mouth is a reality and money ALWAYS felt short of time–would be an outright lie. I even went so far as to click on the link to pay 25 dollars just to get a glimpse of “what he marketed” that would make me the money to bring me financial freedom.
Just as I was about to enter my CC# a little voice said “due diligence.”
As much as I was convinced and ready to work hard and earn the money I so deserved, the least I could do was read the “Fine Print.”
http://dackasrazor.wordpress.com/category/technology/online-scams/
I owe a HUGE debt of GRATITUDE to PROJECT A.W.O.L EMPOWERMENT for the portion of the fine print says something to the effect of “If you make any statement against this company, if you fail to stop someone from talking bad about this company, we will sue you for $5,000 because the damages are immeasurable but the sum above will square the losses.”
I don’t have an MBA nor do I possess a J.D. (Juris Doctorate). I am however in possession of the constitutional right, as a US citizen, of the 1st Amendment which gives me the right to speak freely and some Consumer rights which allow me to complain openly about a company who doesn’t live up to their marketed promises.
Any person or Entity or Person who dares to take my money and tell me that they will sue me if I complain would not receive a dime from me.
Besides the fact the more research of this company revealed it’s true identity and its true agenda.
They exist as a syndicate, solely for the intention to take from you to keep for themselves. Their promise of marketing tools and process are nothing more than a sleazy ploy to have you PAY
$25 monthly ONLY to have you perpetuate the lie by re-marketing the same EMAIL that suckered you IN in the first PLACE. THAT’S RIGHT they have NO BUSINESS but the business of SCAMMING YOU.
The even involve the likes of fellow bloggers such as ELIWRITES to partake is this lie fest where they when over your confidence through reassuring FAQs from others. THESE PEOPLE SHOULD BE JAILED.
MORAL IS: Save your money for a trip to the grocery store, gas fare, a bill, or even to encase it on the wall in your front room. What ever you do. DON’T BE SCAMMED BY A.W.O.L (Another WEB of LIES).
Life is good when you CAN handle
Reblogged this on Deal Closers Corner and commented:
A fitting post for this blog for sure.
This is from the Empower Network Site who wants to make this clear:
Compliance Announcement
Empower Network Compliance is in the process of investigating Project A.W.O.L. and http://www.empowerville.com and its affiliated Empowerville Facebook page for violation of our Terms of Service and Affiliate Policies and Procedures. It is very important for all affiliates and customers to understand that Empower Network is in NO WAY affiliated with either system or offer. Empower Network does not endorse, sanction or otherwise condone this type of activity. Nor does Empower Network make any guarantees for income or success.
UPDATE .. The investigation has ended and PROJECT AWOL had been sanctioned as a legitimate company in accordance to Empower Network, the BBB, and the FTC of the USA. They did this investigation to for legal branding reasons along with if they comply with Empower Networks Affiliate marketing guidelines.
may i ask you a question…. where on the page did it say we will sue you for $5000 for saying somehting bad about AWOL? there are numerous people that don’t understand the system and talk down about it, but Kam and Glenn do not go after ANYONE… they let it roll off their shoulders! No offense, but are you that ridiculous or just flat out ignorant?
AWOl means another way of life, its a team of network marketers that are grouped together using Empower Network (which im sure you call a scam also LOL) to educate others in the Internet MArketing Industry that has grown to over $114 billion $ worth annually!
This blog is absolutely ridiculous my friend, and not to be mean but over 3000 people would disagree with you on Project AWOL but I am guessing that you are satisfied with working your 9-5 job but would rather settle for less than your worth, and that is your Constitutional Right definitely…. but I liek to think I can use mine for a much more profitabell and productive reason and with AWOL we have done just that!
The Internet’s Ignorance at its finest!
For someone who comes across to challenge intelligence and perception, your case does not come across professional, for one your writing style and spelling mistakes indicate you wrote your response in haste, which intern indicates that you felt challenged and became defensive.
Besides this wonderful blog which has a lot of fact to it, did you by any chance further your research to notice the other negative reviews towards A.W.O.L all over google?
Did you notice that every single blog that is designed by someone involved in AWOL has almost the same Biography? or the fact that A.W.OL is not a register business in any country?
Let me not begin on the 1. main all encompassing lesson of business and business management and development, if a business is legit and does source trusted all round profit it does NOT require the employee’s/freelances to join at a fee.
if you want to know how to make money blogging, do the research and the hard work, don’t look for a hand out system, that basically promises to give you a dummy while they do the subsidiary work. All that shall be achieved is in 20 years from now you can say ” I had this marketing business but ah…. actually know nothing”
As a single gal wanting to be home to raise her kid… You got to be the laziest, uneducated person to make that judgement call… Funny? I get paid weekly without a problem with Project AWOL strategies?
And judging by your website (which looks pretty bad in comparison to what PROJECT AWOL and EMPOWER NETWORK teach you about how to build websites and copyrighting for bloggers, artists, and business owners…) your opinion is going to keep you BROKE. Believe me, your work ethic SHINES AND SPEAKS VOLUMES here just by looking at the website Blogg that you have created… Obviously you are NOT a professional blogger or writer and that you have NO CLUE what you are doing verses professionals teaching you how to make you successful at whatever you decide to be selling or creating online.
Seriously.. Log off and just get a life worth living, and leave the blogging to skilled professionals and writers that like to sell the sizzle of content and not the two week old left over steak you present to us here today…. Jesus.. Really?
Why is that I do not understand your comment at all?
1. Where have I ever stated that I am professional blogger or even do it to earn an income?
I blog for my own personal enjoyment.
2. Yes I can see that you have been wonderfully educated, your spelling and slang ability highlight your over powering understand of the depth of business, why you must have a business degree?
3. I don’t have a website, I have a blog.
4. “As a single gal wanting to be home to raise her kid… You got to be the laziest, uneducated person to make that judgement call… Funny?”
I am so happy that you though it would be informative to tel us that you are a. single. b. a parent c. A gal, which in dictation refers to you being under 25, as maturity rating usually refer to woman or mother. d. Thank you for viewing my resume and education level, I have always wanted to be evaluated by someone who works for a company that focused more on its defense approach that proving its point of why it is legitimate.
5. Are you aware that if your company AWOL would respond in an informative manner, i.e creating a website that places fact and detailed info that you would get far more business followers as appose to insulting and being defensive?
So anyway, thank you for giving me a moment to practice my sarcasm it has been the ever highlight of my year.
4. CONFIDENTIALITY
(7th bullet down)
o You agree that you will not make any derogatory statements, either oral or written, or otherwise disparage us, our products, employees, services, work or employment, and will take all reasonable steps to prevent others from making derogatory or disparaging statements. You agree that it would be impossible, impractical, or extremely difficult to fix the actual damages suffered by reason of a breach of this paragraph, and accordingly hereby agree that Company may determine recover five thousand dollars ($5,000) as the amount of damages sustained by reason of each such breach, without prejudice to Company’s right to also seek injunctive or other equitable relief.
If you would actually READ the FINE PRINT of the CONTRACT you signed it is nicely embedded.
I actually DON’ T work a 9-5 job and I DO live life on my own terms which is why it infuriates me to see people who work hard trading their time for money get taken advantage of by people like YOU and the SCAMMERS you support.
I do my research, I know that the cloud of deceit is held together a GROUP of people who perpetuate the lies as they run around the internet saying “kind and cheesy things” about this system to give it CREDENCE. I get that this is the reason you probably won’t see a lot of objecting opinions out there about your fraud.
I, however, could careless about your system and no matter how friendly you appear to be, I know the truth.
Prove me wrong by submitting actual TANGIBLE evidence, outside of your opinion that support the opposite. I know about the SNYDICATE ( a group of scammers who pledge allegiance to support each other so that they APPEAR to be legitimate to the outside unsuspecting victims.
I know about the underground seminars they hold to teach leeches like yourself how to EFFECTIVELY fool people by being nice and supportive and non confrontational (kinda like you are doing now).
I have a number of ways to generate streams of income which is what I do for a living. You can keep your “Flower Child SYNDICATE lying game” because I opt OUT.
But do have a wonderful day as I’m sure you will because you are RICH right? 🙂
PEACE and TRUTH
This is so idiotic. I already had a bunch of you awol promoters following my blog.. After looking into these blogs where everyone is talking about self-empowerment, entrepreneurship and financial freedom, here’s my straight-up question for you: What is the actual product you are selling? How can anyone give a 45min video sales pitch and not once name it how it is and tell me what it is they are selling?! Come on! If you do affiliate marketing, how is it that there isn’t a single product ad placed on any of these blogs?
You’re doing nothing else but selling this virtual idiotism to other people who fall for it. It’s also called a Pyramid scheme, get with it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyramid_scheme
#getalife #scamworld
I thank you for your insight which I agree with 1000%
Sorry I’m not sure why this ended up under your post, it was intended to be a response to frommy728.. I think the main problem is that none of these kids realise not only are they scamming people, but they are also the very first ones being scammed. Here is a very good and detailed article on how it works from top to bottom http://www.theverge.com/2012/5/10/2984893/scamworld-get-rich-quick-schemes-mutate-into-an-online-monster
in the meantime I just had another awol follower, they are definitely very dedicated 😉 Another dead giveaway is that none of them have actual blog posts on their blog and fail to say what their actual job is. Instead justifing it by saying they dont’t want to define themselves through their job. While I agree that we shouldn’t be solely understood by our job, I also think the main reason they wouldn’t want this, is because who wants to say of themself:” I’m a salesperson selling the art of selling intangible marketing subscriptions to prospective sales people like me.” Phew, that was confusing- just as their whole business.
That’s ok I think it’s from a ping or track back which I’d totally fine with me bc I completely agree with your theory!
Be the change you wish to be in this world.
Ghandi
Its an educational product that teaches you how to build your own business online or publish a book online, or brand a product online.. People expect it to be some kind of Pills, potions, lotions type of MLM scam.. But you are buying a degree to become a cutting edge social media marketer for a fraction of the cost for you to buy a P.R. firm and a Publisher to do it for you. But obviously, did you think $25 would get you the full college education about social media strategies or perhaps just a “workshop for a day” experience for $25.. Believe me I just finished my third year of college in marketing, my professors know SQUAT about what they are teaching me and I already have small brick and mortar businesses offering me $10,000 a pop to brand their shops and build out a sales funnel, do facebook marketing for them… And I have Empower Networks $15K FORMULA to thank for that! My College loans so far cost me $65,000 in debt with no promise of a job using their theories… For buying the $15k formula…. @ $1,000 and getting me gigs for banks, individual loan officers, and a doctors office @ $5,000 – $10,000 a pop.. It’s a no brainer why they are ranking 287th most viral traffic website around the globe…
They must be marketing this to young people, becuase that’s who I always get on my site. This seems a lot like Amway and other pyramid marketing schemes. Since you did the research, I’m curious to find out what it is they are selling. If you have a minute and can respond I’d appreciate it.
Absolutely and thank you for asking. As you can see, my blog is very new. Within the first couple of weeks, I received an email notification the a blogger was following me. I was excited at the prospect of a new follower and decided to visit his page and see if I would like to respond in kind. Upon visiting his page, I started to read the speech that he had made about being down on his luck. He then eluded to a video at the link on the bottom of his page. On the video were 2 fairly young men who talked the prospect of getting rich through affiliate marketing and how they achieved it so they knew it to be true.
I was always interested in the prospect of ultimately generating income through my blog site so I listened to the entire spill about the possibility of being able to become financially independent almost overnight. I was convinced enough to the point where I actually had taken steps to pay the 25 dollars to get started (cont….)
Upon setting up an account with this Empowerment Network and Project A.W.O.L, I was asked to enter my CC# to make the payment, I figured I would do due diligence for myself at least skim the disclaimer content. As I read the disclaimer, there was a section that sort of woke me up and make me stop dead in my tracks.
It read to some degree, like this; If you sign this disclaimer, you agree to NOT speak negatively about this company as well you will take extreme measures to see to it that OTHERS don’t speak negatively about this company at any time for any reason. If you do, you realize we will sue you for not less than $5,000.00. You realize that this will not fix the damage but it will suffice us. (cont…)
While it is acceptable that for some I guess this would raise much of a brow; I myself took issue with it and immediately aborted the action of registering with these people. My logic was the “If a business took the initiative to legally restrict me from exercising my rights both as a Consumer and US citizen, I had better hold my horses until I did some objective digging around (cont…).
So I did what any otherwise intelligent person would do. I googled the names of the people and their companies. Initially my research did not yield any feedback as these people have taken pains to cover almost each of the google results with links and references to their company. Eventually though I came across a blog who posed the same questions I asked to myself and by then I was sure that there was something more sinister than good that this company had to offer. I continued digging and came upon video from another wordpress blog with just what I needed to see and here http://dackasrazor.wordpress.com/category/technology/online-scams/ and I just took it from there. This link will take you to the search results with similar stories among them is the posts from my blogs. https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=toolbar-instant&hl=en&ion=1&qscrl=1&rlz=1T4SAVL_enUS525US525#hl=en&qscrl=1&rlz=1T4SAVL_enUS525US525&sclient=psy-ab&q=Project%20A.W.O.L%20scam&oq=&gs_l=&pbx=1&fp=d8ec3bedc097c052&ion=1&bav=on.2,or.r_cp.r_qf.&bvm=bv.48705608,d.eWU&biw=1138&bih=487
I know this was a lot but I hope it helps. Thanks again for the questions!! Your input is always welcomed here as well 🙂
Thanks – viewed the video. I hope WordPress gets rid of these guys.
Me too I’m surprised they have lasted this long.
You do know wordpress/ Matt was almost sued at one point because of a similar problem? Your chance for more digging, this time on the past of WP. But I love them and I know they had taken steps to get better then, and hope they’ll do it now.
About a new follower, thankfully, I do/ did the research first, and your post is a big help despite the pricked balloon of flattery.
And Frommy, the reason for genuine bloggers hating imarketers is emotional… They are going to hate you for making them think, for a brief moment, that you actually cared about their writing – That is fooling. Need I say more?
I’m sorry I don’t quite understand where you are going with your comment. I’m sure its me but would you mind elaborating clarifying what you mean by this? Thanks
Oh yeah now I get it. They do cause you to have a false sense of flattery until you click on their page. So are you Saying the WP sued Mat from AWOL or the other way around?
And what do you mean by the pricked balloon of flattery?
Thanks “)
There was a small controversy about WP gaming the search engines back in 2005.
“WordPress, an incredibly popular Open Source Blogging system was found to be spamming google by inserting hidden links to junk content on high paying Adsense keywords such as mesothelioma and debt consolidation.” This was reported on threadwatch, and later blown out of proportion… But it did get them a PRO and the articles were subsequently removed.
Explained here as well as elsewhere:
http://waxy.org/2005/03/wordpress_websi/
The first paragraph was about SPAM, as a lot of these new ‘followers’ tend to leave useless comments to establish credibility. From that I remembered WP’s own brush with the concept.
In my last paragraph, I was responding to Frommy (AWOL’s part, I believe) that the anger many bloggers feel is also related to imarketering profiles trying to game them as genuine followers. A trap – which I believe was also your reason to go to their website in the first place, notwithstanding what you did next.
Does it make any more sense now?
I understand and you have to pardon my “dumbness” and the fact that I didn’t quite catch on initially. I am sincerely am not that well versed on comp-lingo as it relates to coding and imarketing, open source and the likes of them. I am however, making a conscience effort to learn something new each day in efforts to become more knowledgeable on the topic.
After reading the link you provided it was definitely an eye opener as to what appears to be happening here with PAWOL all over again. Whether or not the developer or host knows about it and whether he has entered into some form of a financial partnership with these guys, I would be interested to know.
I totally agree that it is the emotional aspect that draws in so many unsuspecting people who end up getting taken by these people. I took it very personally and I think I share that sentiment with many others including yourself who don’t have money to give away to someone’s scamming cause. I didn’t think that it was being addressed enough so I chose to put ONE BIG POST up about it for all to see.
As for FROMY, for all I know she could be an alien for outer space who was able to access my page and comment further to keep the dream of the scam alive.
I love it. I thank you for your patience in that clarification as I stated before, Web speak is not my strong suit but I endeavor to improve my skills over time. Feel free to drop some knowledge on this page at any time as it is well appreciated and always welcomed.
I welcome you back anytime and I look forward to engaging in your site as well.
JB 🙂
You are perfect, and I say you don’t need to worry about what you don’t know… It is what you do know that helped me nail the problem, no further research was required. Your post is so clear that it will help any-one who searches the names in your article. Thanks again.
I think half my subscribers are people trying to promote something. It makes me a sad panda cause I do try when I write. Maybe I should just go back to a paper journal and stop trying to delude myself by thinking that people actually read my blog.
I know exactly what you mean. It can be quite the spirit break when you click on their page and find that they are more like BOTS than people. But just keep on pushing and btw I love the Handle. I’ll be hearing more from you because I do plan to read your content for the sake of enjoyment and NOT to sale something because unfortunately I have nothing to sale. Thanks for the input 🙂
Aww thanks fellow internet dweller! You made my day. I’m gonna read you too.
reading you right now…lol 🙂
Yeah, it is disheartening… Having the same experiences too. M a new blogger and keeps getting followers who try to sell me project AWOL … not falling for it though. @ writemejenab thanks for the enlightenment. thelifeunderemployed keep doing ur thing… don’t give up
I have been seeing this a lot lately with the followers I get and the people who like my blog. I recently just started using WP for my personal blog and I assumed it was a scam, but mildly curious as well. Thanks for the confirmation!
Anytime.
This is exactly the reason I wrote it because a lot of people would give the benefit of the doubt if they are not able to find any negative information about them initially.
Reblogged this on The Writing of S.E. Doster.
Hey thanks a lot for this post 🙂 Even I am new in the world of blogging , and I got a notification day before yesterday that some “ikeiaconis” and Julian Sherman is following my blog, the same questions came in my mind. I googled AWOL and saw your blog. Good you are warning others against the scam 🙂
This is EXACTLY why I did it because I was lucky enough to happen upon a post that helped me and I wanted to pass on the favor. No problem. 🙂
Thank you for this! i was on the edge of joining this. He added me to fb and everything to give me information. who would do this by adding someone to fb! I have worked at places that did a little marketing, and we always answered questions through e-mail. So this tells you there, it’s a scam for me. Again, writemejenb, thank you!
This is exactly the reason I decided to write it for unsuspecting folks who are well meaning but tend to fall victim to the trappings of wolves who cloak themselves in sheep’s skin. I knew that if you thought to do the least amount of research that this sight would appear and your ???s would be answered. Thank you for commenting and do come again! 🙂
To set the record clear… http://www.empowerville.com, is not affiliated with project A.W.O.L. We are a community of EN affiliates all exchanging information amongst each other. Empowerville is nothing more than social website for active EN affiliates.
That being said, we have not broken any rules, or laws, and have been unfairly targeted in this ‘investigation’.
Feel free to visit the FREE website anytime. Lots of free information that can be useful for any home-based business is freely exchanged on our website.
Just wanted to make sure we clear our good name 🙂

I have no idea where you are getting your information from. Yes the Empower Network Terms And Conditions does mention this, but that does not mean it is a SCAM. I have been With Project #AWOL for a while and I have met and have proof of myself and those that have made money with Empower using the Project AWOL training…which we all spend $25 a month for one of the products that they offer. I just got back from a HUGE EMPOWER EVENT in Denver Colorado with over 7,000 people that attended and are Empower Affiliates….I have pictures (proof) that this is A LEGITIMATE company!
Project #A.W.O.L is simply a TEAM inside Empower teaching others how to leverage the internet by blogging. We have never scammed ANYONE….Do you have proof that we have scammed anyone? please show me.. don’t just say something because you FEEL or THINK or SOUNDS like a scam…people will always talk negatively and be closed minded about people who want to do good.
I can give you proof of the Many people we have helped freed and changed their lives! I have friends that I know personally that are Moving To Bali, others to Colombia, others to Thailand all because of what Project #A.W.O.L and Empower Network have provided. Yes most of the marketers in Project #A.W.O.L are all young Im 23 myself and on dialysis but that is the beauty of it…Knowing that i am already retired and I do not need to worry about having to work everyday a 9-5 just to make ends meet… I can enjoy my life despite my health….This is what Project #A.W.O.L is all ABOUT!!
So like I said…..PLEASE TELL ME AND SHOW ME WHO HAVE I/WE SCAMMED? YOUR INTELLIGENT, RIGHT? GOOGLE IT ASK AROUND I DONT CARE JUST GIVE ME PROOF THAT WE HAVE SCAMMED SOMEONE….
Because I have proof of the lives we are changing everyday (pictures, videos, blogs etc.) you name it I GOT IT! So instead of just coming up with FALSE ACCUSATIONS and misguiding your readers do A FULL RESEARCH because you are preventing anyone that reads this post from the BEST EXPERIENCE OF THEIR LIFE!!
GOOD DAY……FEEL FREE TO REPLY…LOOKING FORWARD TO PROOF!!
In the spirit of free speech and allowing both sides to a story, I approved your comment. PLEASE DONT TAKE THIS AS A SIGN THAT I GIVE A DAM ABOUT THE WAY YOU FEEL ABOUT MY POST. That said, I KNOW ABOUT YOUR SEMINARS IN WHICH YOU TEACH PEOPLE HOW TO FOOL PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET TO TAKE THEIR MONEY. I AM AWARE OF THE FACT THAIT IT IS LIKELY THAT YOU WON’T FIND ANY NEGATIVE INFORMATION REGARDING YOU SCHEME SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU CONSPIRE WITH OTHER SCHEMERS LIKE YOURSELF. FOR EXAMPLE, YOU HAVE ALL DECIDED THAT TOGETHER YOU WILL SUPPORT EACH OTHER IN ONE CIRCLE IN ORDER TO MAXIMIZE ON THE GOOD PRESS. IF ALL THEIVES ARE SAYING GOOD THINGS ABOUT THE NEXT THEIF THEN EVERYBODY WINS!
LASTLY, TO THE POINT THAT YOU ARE CHANGING LIVES OF PEOPLE AND ALLOWING THEM TO RETIRE….I BEG THE QUESTION TO YOU….AT WHO’S EXPENSE DO YOU BENEIFT FROM A LIFETIME OF LEISURE???
I’LL ANSWERE THAT ONE, MY GUESS WOULD BE THAT IT IS OFF THE BACKS OF THE POOR FOOLS WHO GET WRAPPED UP IN YOUR 25 DOLLAR MONTHLY SCHEME. SURELY NOT EVERYONE WHO PAYS 25 DOLLARS WILL GET TO RETIRE EARLY. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I STILL THINK THAT THIS IS A COMPLETE SCAM AND THAT THE CONSPIRACY FOR YOU TO APPEAR LEGIT IS JUST THAT! GOOD LUCK ON THE DIALYSIS-JUST BECAUSE YOUR CHRONICALLY ILL DOESN’T GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO RIP PEOPLE OFF. IF YOU WANT TO DO SOMETHING GOOD FOR SOMEONE THEN TELL YOUR FELLOW SCAMMERS TO STOP SPAMMING UP BLOGGERS PAGE BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT INTERESTED!
Well I got wrapped in the $25 monthly scam and I got to say its the best scam ever!! You’ve never been to an Empower event so you cant say you know.. And yes everyone that follows our program can retire…. WE HAVE PROOF!!….Give me proof that we do wrong to others but you can’t so g’day Ma’am….Ill keep helping lives…
As long as you quit harassing fellow wordpressers who just want to BLOG and not get BLOGGED down with your bullshit….good day to you to…SIR 🙂
Everything that we blog about is Educational,Inspirational and Motivating… you should see how many people have thanked me for my blog and everything I write about…. how is that BULLSHIT? We do not spam…we simply like and follow others…so that others can also read our content… its all good though Haters Gonna Hate… LOL!
dude no one cares!!!! Read the comments-they speak for themselves. You can show proof of how you benefit from being at the TOP of a 25 dollar monthly PYRAMID SCHEME. Me personally, I don’t make a lot of money but you know what I would rather do, DIE BROKE THEN LIVE RICH AT THE EXPENSE OF SOMEONE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE FOOD CHAIN.
Seriously you are barking up the wrong tree and if you are looking for me to have a change of heart then your efforts are futile bc the post remains. So please do have a nice life and stay off my page if this is all you have. Thank you….that is all
Ok Buh Bye Nice chatting with you…. 🙂
Found your post while searching for more information on this AWOL thing as a member of AWOL signed up for my blog. I too went onto their website to figure out how I too can move to Bali (lol). After reading their website with tons of videos (about member’s wonderful travels and lives) I still didn’t understand how this money is generated. Thank you for clarifying!
p.s. loved reading all the comments 😉
Lol…Yes this is my assumption that it is a pyramid SCAM. As they sign you up then you are able to sign other people up and generate income from NOTHING-with NO REAL PRODUCT to sale. Even as he “the owner of Empowerville” came here to refute my information, he was not able to offer any tangible evidence to support his claim that his business on the internet was legitimately generating income. This cemented my claim that that this is nothing short of a scam as they are made richer with each $25 signup fee. If he were serious about clearing up the “company’s” good name, he would have offered a more clearly stated mission that included a business plan with a REAL PRODUCT at its core. I am a no nonsense person who almost fell for this pigeon hole and wanted to make sure that NO ONE did. If nothing else, this post should at least give others who consider this venture based solely on the information given by AWOL, other information to weigh their options. Thanks again for stopping by and PLEASE POST AGAIN if new information is found. I enjoyed reading your comments as well and looking forward to checking out your site.
JRB 🙂
Hi Jen,
I keep getting these AWOL-ers signing up for my blog. Its always thrilling to see new subscribers, only to be disappointed that the reason why they are doing this is to get you to give them $25.00 for valuable information to their secret club. Unfortunately because of blogging being public there isn’t a way to remove them or block them. Very annoying!!
Hi Nina. I wanted to clarify what project AWOL is all about and before you shut me out, I want to say I haven’t participated in project AWOL. They haven’t seen a dime of my money. Project AWOL is a company that actively looks for people that want to participate in learning how to start an online business and then helps those people find groups of people that are currently in the online business to help them along the way. They sell the information of these interested people to marketers looking for prospects. Whether or not the marketers gain them as a prospect is up to the marketer. The marketer still has to pay but if their potential customer doesn’t show, AWOL will replace them with another potential customer for free.
This is what they do in a nut shell and it’s quite brilliant really and it’s not a scam. Companies have existed like this for quite some time. My parents were contractors. They did the same: they were hired by businesses to go out and find people that wanted work, that were best suited to become employees at their work place. People do pay for that kind of work and quite a lot.
Project AWOL also goes out and advertises to people that would be interested in starting an online business and offers a relatively cheap way to acquire customers. As far as I know, you pay nothing until you want to pay for a prospect.
So if you want to just have a blog, you just need the $25/mo fee that comes with most blogging platforms. You don’t need to worry about anything else, but this company is not a scam. They don’t sell a product, they sell a service. Best example I can give is a computer repair store. They don’t sell products, they sell their ability to repair your computer. AWOL is the same in the sense that they sell you potential prospects.
Hope that helps! I’ll answer anything I can if anyone has more questions.
Hey,
My names Kameron George and I’m actually the founder of Project AWOL.
Unfortunately regardless of opinions, skepticism, or preconceived notions about what is or isn’t possible your post is nothing but mis-information. In fact blatant lies.
If you are in fact a blogger with integrity and would like to get your details straight, and publish
the facts so that you can serve your readers and audience the way they deserve to be served.
Then you are more than welcome to email me, I would be happy to set aside some time to chat.

Look forward to speaking soon.
PS. Feel free to enjoy the first episode of our new reality show. I’m sure you and your readers will enjoy the real story 🙂

The problem with your statement SIR is that you have called me a liar when I simply give my opinion which translates to my perspective of your alleged company.
I have yet to see one iota of tangible information which supports a product in which you sale or market. You know such as a summarization of a business plan,
Lastly, even filthy rich people have issues in life, so to perpetuate this false notion that life is ALWAYS peaches and cream because you work from a laptop is for me further indication of a questionable business practice. Even Oprah cries and I’m sure Warren Buffet doesn’t have a good day everyday of the year.
I’m not a Christian so I don’t believe in Heaven. What you propose is a heaven on earth. No amount of money can offer that.
As I stated, the burden of proof is on you to show TANGIBLE Evidence besides a reality show farce. One business plan for potential customers to see when they come on this site.
May the forces of Good and Evil be with you 🙂
Heaven on earth? I appologize in advance, I am going to do my best to be polite and bring you up to speed so we can solve this. But Had you the nerve, or respect to reach out I would gladly speak and clear up your blatant lies. Yes, you can’t claim to have read something on a website that doesn’t exist (if it does it certainly was not mine) then call it an opinion. That is just silly.
However like i was saying if you would have reached out and called I would have gladly shared my story, and any other information you are looking for so you could publish nothing but the honest truth for your loyal subscribers:)
Although I’m aware I’m “fuelling the fire” even responding to this as you obviously have no intention of doing anything more than ranking for a highly trafficked keyword from google to get attention and exposure for your blog. I just genuinely hope that at your core you do at least believe you are helping someone with this post and doing them a service.
Project AWOL has never been about the money, its been about making a difference.
Just so happens that the income our students have been creating is a bi-product of the difference I chose to make.
The truth is it isn’t all peaches and cream. And much like the amount of time, effort and energy it took you to build this website, it takes time effort and energy to learn a new skill set and build a business and passive income online. Thats kind of common sense no?
Creating realistic goals, managing expectations, and creating a custom business plan based around your specific goals is all part of our curriculum. Had you done any real research you would know this 🙂 But I understand where you are coming from, from the outside looking in you can’t possibly have much more than an opinion.
Here’s the facts.
I simply made the choice to learn a skill set of internet marketing in 2009, and have been creating an income online ever since. Not over night, i actually put myself over $40,000 in debt following nonsense from “gurus” who were just selling some product lookin to make a buck before I hired a mentor. He taught me the ins and outs of affiliate marketing, the offers he promotes, why he promotes them and how to do it myself.
I will never let someone I care about go through that nonsense when creating an income, promoting the right offers and driving the right traffic can be so easy with the right guidance.
It was making the decision to learn this skill-set that turned my life around, and allows me to yes… create an income at will with my laptop. Instead of grinding on the construction site like I used to. Now I travel the world with my friends and have fun. Because thats what we choose to do at this point and having a completely virtual income allows that pleasure.
I could easily have never said anything, quietly promoted CPA offers, gone to Walmart.com signed up as an affiliate and sold white socks. But thats not what its about. I would have never helped anyone but myself and thats not how I roll.
I wanted to give back to my friends. Like Dakota (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvRajHqcpHU) I wanted to show him what I was doing so he could do it too. But without spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on his education and spending years running different offers to see what works like I did.
And Listening to what I had to show him he is going to finish this year, his first year ever marketing online, with a six figure income.
The product line I stand behind and the centre piece to our curriculum is the Empower Network. The product is an education. From real marketers getting real results. Its the best, most indepth training online. Period.
Why Do I promote it?
Because I believe in it.
Because I have experienced what following the training can do.
and Because I know what it will do for anyone who listens. Our community is proof of that.
People lie… Numbers don’t and the results from our community members speak for themselves.
I would send them over here in hordes to share their story if I didn’t think you would use their success and genuine intention of sharing something they believe in and know works to milk traffic and exposure for your site.
The bottom line is this. Making the decision in your life to learn the skill-set of internet marketing will change your life.
When you have the ability to drive traffic, generate leads, and make sales and build an audience at will. You can create an income promoting ANY affiliate offer online.
Or yourself and your talents like Jonathan Roumain who is a professional dancer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iyiTVR3ahY
You have the ability to create a passive income stream, and Yes… Do what you love.
When you can build an audience and share who you are, what you care about and what you believe in you can Yes, create an income simply sharing things you’re passionate about. Whether its white socks from walmart, or An info product from clickbank on how to bake ginger bread cookies it doesn’t matter. Personally I don’t promote either, because I don’t believe in them.
I believe in a proper education. In mentorship, and in personal development.
Obviously you understand this to some degree and are aware of the power of exposure or you wouldn’t have stirred up this controversy for nothing 😉
I have no interest in fuelling this fire any further. My offer still stands if you would like to chat to get the facts, if not thats on you. I will continue to do what I do best and help people get the one thing that matters.
Results.
For your readers that want a behind the scenes glimpse at what we’re all about they can go to:

You’ll be happy to know that nearly everyone of the people who took part in this training now enjoy a full time income online 🙂

So much for free speech. Point #1 If your business is so legitimate and doing so well, why is it you continuously come to my site to HARRASS myself and the other bloggers for voicing our opinions. Point #2 The fact that you continue to harp on the notion that I only used your tag to drive traffic to my site is preposterous seeing as though the BULK of traffic comes from THIS post alone which does me no great deed as it relates to other blog posts I’ve made. If I were so opportunistic then why haven’t I used this traffic follow other bloggers or like the posts on their sites in order to build from here. Surely you have 2 eyes and are aware that I have posted a recent blog entry in months.
Has it ever occurred to you that I’m not the only BlogSpot that has a post about your imposing existence online. How do you think I arrived at my conclusion that you are just the head of a pyramid scheme. IT IS MY OPINION and you have not managed to convince me otherwise. If you’ll kindly look through my site you will find that I quite frankly voice my opinion on anything that I see fit. You sir are not any more special than Regions or Rich Dad Inc. I will ask kindly that you stop harassing my site. If you notice, everyone who has come to my site did so because you have not allowed your affiliates (and I use that term loosely) to speak out against you. I did my research and concluded based on said research. So if you are so faithful to your business then carry on and stop harassing my page. The bloggers on this site obviously do no desire to partake in your “ring around the market” idea. There will be throngs of souls who have decided to do so and to them I say “Its a free Country!”
Good Vibrations to you 🙂
University of Phoenix and all those other online universities should take MASSIVE offense to your statements because they too provide an educational SERVICE and not products that you can hold in your hands. Like any educational service, the first step is to learn and the next step is to apply. If the skills are not applied, then the benefits will not be realized.
Here is a quick educational clip to help you understand pyramid schemes since I think you need some help understanding this point as well.
p.s. University of Phoenix also has an affiliate program : )
P.S. Robert K and Donald Trump are also SCMAMMERS. I can vouch for this because I have experienced their SCAMS myself. Also, I personally worked for the UNIVERSITY of PHOENIX as an ENROLLMENT ADVISOR, in my opinion from MY EXPERIENCE they are unequivocally one of the BIGGEST SCAMS authorized by the DOE.
Great job on convincing me otherwise. Before you comment with supportive evidence of your theory, make sure it is not EVIDENCE which has already been confirmed as fraudulent. It doesn’t help your argument in any way. Also I suggest you skim through my site to locate the post I made regarding Robert K. after attending one of his FRAUDULENT Real estate seminars. And just incase you missed it, Donald Trump is being sued by the city of NY for his role in the REAL ESTATE SCHOOL PYRAMID SCHEME FRAUD. Hint to the “not so wise” before you decide to make a comment using TAINTED EVIDENCE to support your theories in the future, please do your due diligence. PEACE 🙂
Jenb… You constantly make statements about the freedom of speech, but then when anyone exorcises this amendment against you, you throw a fit like you’re the only one with rights to it.
Also you preach a lot of “truths” but then back them up with nothing. I would like to hear more on your opinions, I would, but it’s really hard for me to take anyone seriously that’s biggest fact in conversation is “I WAS THERE! IT HAPPENED!”
YOU WANT PROOF:

Thanks for the enlightenment. never clicked on the video, though… lols let them keep sending.
Thank you Mr Chukwudi and I am here anytime for just that purpose, enlightenment. Please do come again and I look forward o reading you as well.
I Just wanted to say thanks for blogging this information. I to am a beginner blogger and last night one of the females that’s associated with AWOL begin following me. I looked and checked out her blog. She then sent me a email explaining what her blog was about and attached was the AWOL video. I begin to research it and came across your blog. Thanks to your insight on this little marketing plan, I didn’t lose any money.
By the way I read that you are in some marketing business, care to share? Thanks
Dear Jen,
You are doing a fantastic job! Revealing the truth and showing these scam artists for what they really are. I detest people who go out of their way manipulating others. That’s what AWOL is all about. Their bloggers spread a motivational message on the outskirt, *pretending* to be genuine, whereas their act is nothing short of evil. How far would one go in pursuit of monetary returns? It staggers me how certain people are willing to sell their souls in the process.
Jen, you are a brave individual for fighting for what is right, and you deserve my admiration.
Keep up the brilliant work.
For anyone who reads this: AWOL is a scam. If you have an inch of decency in your body, shun these FRAUDSTERS.
Thank you and I do it for you so keep posting 🙂
This is EXACTLY the way I felt when I made this post: VERY WELL SAID! 🙂
So, the only reason you don’t like them is because you can’t talk bad about them if you signed up and you don’t know how they make money?
Just looked up some stuff in sight and although all there is a TON of filler, the business model does not look to be pyramid, just affiliate marketing. signing up, I’ll let you know how it goes.
Thank you for sharing what you found out about this company. I just set up a site on WP and the exact same thing happened to me. Someone followed me, I checked out their site and followed a link on their homepage to a video that sounded a little too good. Glad I checked them out and really glad I found your site.
look at post above you silly pants
Jason,
Your comment had not been moderated in when I added mine so I could not read it before writing my response. I wish you luck, but what they are describing is not a business model. You will be selling the same thing using the same ads and same landing pages as everyone else who buys into the program. That will flood the market and they will be the only ones to really earn money off this. I do hope that it will work out for you though.
Comfort Cooking Abroad.
Jason, if that is his real name, is well aware of what their model is which is why he chose to comment on this post. He is not a new customer looking to join, rather he is a plant for PA looking to further validate their scam by having “a fake potential associate” appear on this post to make it seem as those they are legitmate enough for an objective blogger to sign up. I chose not to respond to his comments for that very reason. I did not buy, for one moment, that his statement was genuine or that he was a legitamate commenter. I had hoped that everyone else would see through his deception as well. Nonetheless I stand with you and the others on the principle of just calling it as it is, a pure unadulturated, perpetuated lie! 🙂 Thanks for the input and do come again my dear.
Any time my dear it is an absolute pleasure to have these people EXPOSED! 🙂
Thank you for this post! I’ve been getting a lot of new followers on my wordpress blogs, people from “Project AWOL”, and I was really excited, just like you….I almost signed up for the empower network too, and got excited by the prospect of affiliate marketing. Now I realize I’m content to just write blog posts for my own satisfaction of sharing my ideas and hopefully helping other people 🙂
*sigh* I too have done my due diligence. And I have been perfectly happy – in fact thrilled – with the community & training within Project AWOL. Kameron has been an amazing mentor. I could elaborate, but people hear what they want to hear anyway. It’s unfortunate that a fear mentality is propagated all over the place. I wish you all the best of luck!! It’s correct we all most certainly do have the right to express our opinions. It’d just be prudent of us all, when making blanket statements to have accurate facts behind them. In a confusing, complicated online world Project AWOL has represented class, honesty & a great sense of community. All the best to you all.
Ok if you are looking for a nod and wink from this end, you’ll be hard pressed to find anyone hear believe that we are in error for calling a spade a spade.
Alice Dymally, just because you come in a tactful manner filled with a fluffy attitude doesn’t mean that you come in “truth.” A liar can enter your universe in all facet much like the Christian version of the Devil. I hope you take this statement for exactly how it is stated “literally.” 🙂
Just searched for project AWOL and this blog came up…:-)!
I just wanted to say that what you get for $25 is a pre made blog on an authority site called Empower Network (ranked as no 88 in the USA according to the ALEXA ranking – that´s a pretty impressive rate). You also get free training on how to monetize your blog if you want to:-)!
So, there definitely is a product (used by over 100.000 bloggers…).
All the best to everyone!
The truth is always spoken because the truth is what is true to each and everyone of us…
Happy blogging!
Thanks for posting. As I have an online business (with a REAL product…lol), I was interested in AWOL’s “tips and tricks” initially. I watched the video as well, did my research and your blog came up. Definitely disconcerting to see the agreement verbiage. Happy blogging!
With both sides having rested, closing arguments will begin Thursday afternoon. Nelson said she wants jurors to begin deliberations Friday afternoon.
A six-person, all-female Seminole County jury will decide whether Zimmerman is guilty of murder in the Feb. 26, 2012, shooting death of Trayvon Martin, 17, of Miami Gardens.
Prosecutors allege Zimmerman profiled, pursued and murdered the unarmed teen, who was visiting his father in Sanford while on suspension from his Miami-Dade County high school. Zimmerman has maintained that he acted in self-defense, shooting when he felt his life was in danger after Martin ambushed him in the dark.
The closely watched case sparked protests and marches in the 44-day gap between Martin’s killing and Zimmerman’s arrest.
After court Wednesday, defense attorney Mark O’Mara said he was confident in the evidence his side presented and hopeful for an acquittal.
“With evidence the way it is, I think we have a very, very good chance with the jury,” he said.
Martin’s family, meanwhile, is hoping for a different outcome, but family attorney Ben Crump said the family does not want to see any violence in the event of an acquittal. “The Martins hope that people peacefully protest,” Crump said.
O’Mara noted that Zimmerman carefully weighed whether to testify, but believed that jurors already heard his side of the story through his statements to police and the testimony of other witnesses.
“A big part of him wanted to get in front of the jury and say, ‘This is my story, this is what I’ve done, and this is why I did it,'” O’Mara said. “It was a very difficult decision for George to make.”
Before closings begin Thursday, attorneys will argue about what instructions Nelson will give jurors as they go into their deliberations. In addition to second-degree murder, the state wants the jury to consider possible lesser charges, including manslaughter and aggravated assault; the defense does not.
“Self-defense is self-defense to everything,” including murder, manslaughter, assault and battery, O’Mara said. “What happened out there was not a crime.”
A manslaughter or aggravated assault conviction could result in a lengthy sentence because a gun was used. If convicted of second-degree murder as charged or of aggravated assault, Zimmerman would face up to life in prison; manslaughter would carry a sentence of up to 30 years.
The judge dealt some blows Mets 5 Wright Black 2011 All Star Jerseys to the defense Wednesday when she ruled against two pieces of evidence Zimmerman’s team had hoped to present to jurors: text and Facebook messages from Martin’s phone, and a computer-animated re-creation of the confrontation between Martin and Zimmerman.
The text and Facebook messages included references to Martin getting into fights. The defense-commissioned animation, which prosecutors successfully argued only showed Zimmerman’s version of events, looks like a computer game showing a Martin avatar walking up and punching Zimmerman’s character.
O’Mara said he plans to use the animation as part of his closing argument for demonstrative purposes – the judge said she will allow that – but jurors will be instructed not to consider it as substantive evidence.
Wednesday’s testimony centered on a law enforcement trainer and former police officer who said, based on the case records he reviewed, Zimmerman’s self-defense claims seem correct.
Zimmerman was “physically lacking compared to Mr. Martin,” the witness, Dennis Root, said.
It was his opinion that after 40 seconds of being on the losing end of a violent scuffle, Zimmerman had no other option but to shoot Martin.
“Forty seconds is an eternity when you’re involved in any physical conflict,” Root said. “You only have so much gas in the tank.”
Root’s time on the witness stand included attorneys from both sides straddling a foam dummy to demonstrate what the fight between Zimmerman and Martin may have looked like.
O’Mara got on top of the life-size dummy and, with both his hands on its shoulders, repeatedly bashed its head into the ground, as Zimmerman claims Martin did to him.
On cross-examination, prosecutor John Guy was more gentle in straddling the figure, getting Root to acknowledge that Martin may have been on top of Zimmerman but trying to pull away when he was shot.
Several jurors stood to get a better view of the attorneys’ demonstrations.
Wednesday, the 12th day of testimony in the trial, followed a marathon day of legal wrangling that ran well into the night on Tuesday. It ended with the judge abruptly calling an end to the proceedings just before 10 p.m. EDT as attorneys from both sides began to bicker with each other. The judge walked out of court while defense attorney Don West pleaded with her.
“Judge, I’m not physically able to keep up this pace much longer,” West said to Nelson’s back.
The two had another tense exchange Wednesday. The judge asked Zimmerman if he wanted to testify, and West objected, saying they needed more time to discuss it. Nelson overruled, tried Rangers 5 Ian Kinsler Red 2010 All Star Jerseys to ask Zimmerman her question, and West objected again.
“I’m asking your client a question,” Nelson said. “Please, Mr. West. Overruled.”
Thank you for this enlightening post!
I had wondered about these people ever since they showed up, following my blogs. ikeiaconis was the first one and even showed up under different names, if I remember this correctly. And then several others followed. I had wondered what they want from me as they don’t seem to be what I would call my typical “target group” of readers.
I checked out their websites and noticed that they never really say anything about how their project actually works. It felt like a lot of yacking to me and like they are trying to manipulate people. Meanwhile I am almost feelng intruded by their subscribtions rather than happy.
As, today, somebody new working for awol showed up on my blog I was curious what other people have to say about them. So, thank you, once more, for sharing your experience and opinion!
All the best to you!
No thank you for doing research 🙂
I adore how a company that is apparently worth a significant network, with an incredible and substantial following behind them, appears to be affected by 1 small blog post? Seriously?
You have lost 4 clients out of your: One website said over 100 another over 1000 staff members?
To be very honest I do not see their entire business demolishing because 1 person decided to write a blog, which refers to her freedom of speech, and her opinion. Please notice how I have said her which indicates a singular identity, that has a singular opinion that by most laws around the world has a right to share it.
All your responses indicate youth and the fact that you feel challenged and defensive towards this, thus indicating strongly the fact that they don’t like someone opening another look into there “business”
Thank you for being honest, and open, and truly sharing your thoughts and opinions.
Thank you my fellow blogger. What gets me most of all is not the retorts from the AWOLers but the fact that they attack and harass me for being resourceful and looking before I leaped over the scam cliff. In this day and age it has easily become law for on to speak out against systematic scammers and institutionalized oppressors. Dare I say keep your scam and I keep my hard earned dollar for fear of retribution from the peaceful AWOL regime. Thank you and everyone here for giving a voice and credence to this post and using comments literally vote what PA means to you as a blogger.
Peace and ❤
I reblogged your post and added my own opinion. I am so disgusted in the world of scams and people who have such a low moral compass that they are able to take from those that dearly need and not give a ****.
Again I see freedom of speech used here… yet the second anyone tries to counter your points they are not exorcising their freedom of speech? They are monsters that want to prevent your constitutional rights!? Please…
If you believe in the right of freedom of speech you shouldn’t be defensive even when people who come to your site make comments against yours. If your ideals are just, you have nothing to hide, then who cares? Expecting people who you are libeling to stand by and not speak up, and frowning them when they do, is pretty much the epitome of being against our first amendment.
Were I not honoring the right to free speech, do you really think I would take the time to approve ALL comments as opposed to trashing the ones from people like you. The problem is not that you come here to exercise your right to rebut my post rather it is that you come here expecting mute me because on my own dam post. Furthermore, I don’t need to get offensive bc there is nothing to defend other than my right to BLOG and POST my opinions. If this is what you are referring to me defending then by all means STAY THE HELL OFF MY PAGE. That is ALL.

The world of internet scams: Reblogging of articles I thought relevant.
Thank you for taking time to write this post. My blog has also been “stalked” by AWOLers. I appreciate your sharing your experience with the rest of us.
I found this:
http://lissowerbutts.com/empower-network-scam-or-legit/
http://wizzley.com/business-or-pyramid-scheme-how-to-tell-the-difference/
Took a bit of searching, but things are starting to confirm even further.
Hi,
I am supposed to be an adult, but this scam does get to me. Half my ‘comms’ are with these robots. I wish they’d pi** off to facebook, or somewhere with their hogwash. Worse still, when one objects, as you have done, young hero, these ‘moonies’ smack you down like a (cliche) ton of bricks.
Ahhh, that’s better.
Sometimes I worry for them. I know, I know – but I’m thinking some poor individual has shed out 25$ or 25 teeth and they have to wear the badge to recoup. If they ‘like’ you 3 times, they’re ‘fishing’ right?
WordPress tries to keep the menace low key, it probably threatens the platform, long-term.
atb, keep writing
Oh, oh…
yes, I do quite enjoy the posts from ‘genuine’ bots, almost poetic:
‘Your points to the question understanding right directions you good informations zone much required.’
‘Why, thank you very much, old bean.’
😉
Man, I’m glad somebody else has this problem! I’ve gotten somewhere between 10-15 followers that all advertise “making money by blogging” and the content they post is so awful! It’s this completely dry, stock content that has no life of it’s own. It’s very frustrating.
I had several of these people who are part of the Project AWOL. At first, I thought they were just bots or something. I wasn’t believing any of their shit. This is the first time I Googled them and I’m glad you wrote this article so no one can fall in that trap.
Found your site while posting a rebuttal to Julian Sherman and his ilk. I wrote a post for my own blog and add a link to that post every time one of these people “Follows” my blog (and this is becoming an epidemic lately, showing that the pyramid scheme will soon start to collapse). Here is the link I post: http://wp.me/pNid9-3qF. Most don’t respond, but one young lady chided me that I was preventing people from coming to my own blog. Never did figure out how that works.
Thank you for writing this! I had one of these people follow me. And got me curious. But I am always looking for the BUT in things. And I found it. Great post!
Thank you for exposing these people!
I live in Ontario Canada & they called me last night, however i have an unlisted phone no# so it is a mystery as to how they got my no #.
I did talk with a fellow for awhile but something was just not right, so i questioned him about pyramid scams, he assured me that this was not the case. I then asked well why do i have to pay you every month if your going to pay me every month? his reply was they have to pay my “”mentor”” he then said he wanted to put his “”supervisor “‘ on the phone. so i waited & after a few minutes someone came on the phone, but something wasn’t right so i recorded the conversation. i kept asking the “supervisor” to speak up, he did a little. so i again questioned him about this being a scam. I again was assured it was not. I finally just said that i was not interested in any way & hung up. Both my husband & i listened to the recording & the fellow i was first chatting with & the supervisor were actually the same person!! after i googled them everything came up fine, until i googled, “”going awol scam”” & a whole long list came up!
The sad thing is we are smart & catching on to scammers, its the seniors that i feel sorry for!
I’m not a constitutional lawyer, but I believe that the FIRST AMENDMENT only refers to protection of a U.S. Citizen’s right of speech against the U.S. Government, not their right to say whatever they want against anyone (or anything) they want. That you COULD BE SUED by Project A.W.O.L. for not following the contract (includes all fine print, wether you read it or not) you signed, is TRUE! Buyer beware! Many people have been scammed by ads, infomercials or cold calls, very few recover their “investment”, only a few actually sue, most of those LOSE!
I am not a representative of Project A.W.O.L, or a client, so I can say pretty much whatever the heck I want to about them.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts David. I’m not entirely certain of the point in which you are trying to express- Be that as it may, I appreciate the input 🙂 Do comment again whenever you feel it necessary.
I recently got a wave of these AWOLers following my blog. So I took the liberty of reading some of their posts and something just wasn’t right. It sounded like a pyramid scheme to me. I Googled awol scam and came across your blog post. I read the post and all the comments and I have to agree with you. Project AWOL is a scam.
The fact that the owner and founder of Empower Network, Empowerville, and the initiator of Project AWOL came to your small, insignificant blog to defend themselves says a lot! (I mean no offence by calling your blog small and insignificant.) You are only one person and yet they are threatened by your single post! “Wow!” is all I can say, JenB. *applause* (no sarcasm/malice attached)
You are doing a good job at exposing their filth.

I have new followers!!! oh… Her/his blog promotes project AWOL. Then I found this article and read the comments. I have no comments but I never join this project. My life is good…
it is very interesting… ihave met these two fellow guys kam. and drew…. and personally started a massage & yoga business not really knowing anything about business… and its helped me Immensely over the past year! Astounding information that can be applied in any are of ones life, the project awol product is free, empower network is $25 and its up to EACH individual person to put the work into A business. The money doesn’t show up as if by magic if you don’t work for it.
Its amazing how many lives this is changing, people who cant afford to pay families health bills, financial troubles, etc… but at the end of the day… ive dug deeper past the first thought I had that it was a scam,,.. that was last February. and im sure glad I didn’t miss this opportunity. 🙂 just saying! sometimes it takes a group of people to get most of us out of our closed mind into an open thinking and free place… that we can learn to be ourselves. its pretty cool! Going to the Denver and Orlando event truly opened my eyes up to the ignorance of not actually truly knowing what they were really up to.
Fantastic, I’ve just started blogging and this guy is trying to stitch me in. As ever, if something seems to good be true…
and so and so and such and such…yes I know and you are quite welcome. Thank you kindly for your input. 🙂
Thanks for posting to get the word out because these clowns can be pretty darn enticing with there “Living Life to the Fullest” mantra they live by while they eat away at the bank accounts of others. Keep posting and if you encounter new information PLEASE POST IT HERE…:)
