Hello there,
I am person of passion who lives to ponder and explore the substance of life as we know it to be presently. At times, I will even make an attempt at predicting (via an educated guess) what the future will bring (though I usually leave that to the experts). At my blog spot, you’ll encounter information and enlightenment with and side of whit and principle and this is my idea of a “good time!”
Feel free to stop by and make yourself at home!
Looking forward to reading your enlightening words of wisdom and sharing my thoughts. I love to write but cannot find time to do so…I hope to gain that passion back soon!
You will new mom. I know life is hectic for you right now but it’s right where it’s supposed to be. When you are ready set the page up and just bare your soul because it will become your saving grace at time when you need it most. I’ll be here when you’re ready!
Welcome! Thank you for subscribing to follow my blog. I hope you are encouraged, inspired and enjoy the photos I take of life’s events as seen through the lens of my camera.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
I am always encouraged to witness the beauty of a photo that words usually cannot express.
You be encouraged and blessed as well as I look forward to many more exchanges with you.

Hey I just called my local new they are now reporting the state filed a motion against the defense. I am going on our local news talk radio to update them on the Zimmerman trial. I just faxed the motion and the answer from the Defense to my contacts, at ABC news
This is the best news yet! What shocks me is the audacity of these people to do things and not expect consequences. This is the dawning of a new Era my friend and I am elated to be stepping into with people like you. Bless you Thomas.
Hey there Jen! You can refer to me by my username, or Darius if you prefer.
Welcome aboard Darius, It has been quite the journey to the “down under” with you. So here’s to an atmosphere where facts/ignorance. Feel free to engage and facilitate. Mi casa Es Su Casa
Facts are great, especially because I don’t view my own ignorance on a subject as anything more than an opportunity to learn.
Cheers!
Likewise. That said ALL real knowledge is welcomed here. 🙂
lol That was worded somewhat awkwardly.
lol WEB Dubois and Booker T Washington although not contemporary are points of reference bc they pose 2 contradicting theories about the conditions of AAs at the time. This was largely due to their stark opposite upbringings so I think you’ll find that very is a great place to start and interesting.
Do you have any recommendations on a popular primer for Sociology?
give me a moment to dig through the cob webs of my brain and locate them for you. 🙂
not at all 🙂
while I am still looking for some of the ones which most affected me, Some of the more notable ones I like were “Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond; “The Sociological Imagination” By C Wright Mills. Still researching for that Golden one and I will get back to you as soon as I find it.
I am familiar with “Guns, Germs, and Steel”. I’ll checkout the one by Mills.
the list goes on. I have a storage filled with my own personal library of them but I am racking my brain to think of the name of this one by a AA Sociologist that changed my life. As soon as I can put my finger on it I will let you know. I would say start out with the African American ones because they depict a more intimate accounts of the AA condition. Stuff that we find familiar in our lives but never thought it would end up in a text book.
I’ll also check this one out.

yes I have read it as a requirement for my studies I had to read all of his. and they are awesome. Up from Slavery and the Souls of Black folk were among my favorites
Definitely old news at this time, but did you get a chance to enjoy the histrionics on the FOX News live stream on election night? XD
The comments there were the most delicious bit of schadenfreude of my life.
lol…I try to avoid Faux News at all cost you can definitely bring me up to speed lol
Hehe I had Current TV and FOX both open. The viewer’s comments on FOX were more delicious than you can imagine. I’ll see if i can track down some screenshots.
by all means lol.. But first do let me locate my defribulator lol
This is the closest thing I could find. Part of what made it so funny to me was that to anyone paying attention to sites such as fivethrityeight.com and election.princeton.edu KNEW that Obama had this one handily. In the bubble till there very end… Bursting bubbles make the most exquisite sound.

THIS ONE was a classic lol man what a wow lol
——–>Now, where do we go from here? Clearly the demographics don’t favor us, but here’s something to consider: whites are still 72%. So is the problem that we don’t get any minority votes, or is the problem actually that we still have 40% of whites that have no clue what’s going on? We need to inform whites of what is actually going on in the country.
HAHA yeah! GOP talk of addressing the concerns of Hispanics and African-Americans, and ceasing to be “The stupid party” lasted for about a week after election night. They quickly returned to trying to woo Democratic voters with ‘self deportation’ and evangelical theocratic policies. I really think the GOP is DONE until they go through a serious catharsis.
One thing they could do for instance, which would be consistent with the traditional Republican value of personal freedom, is to steal the drug from the Democrats and support ending the Drug War.
Who could blame them. Heaven only knows what the vicious liberals would do to them and there families once they “seized the power” lol
Yeah God only know what the next strategic plan is for them. But don’t give up on them just yet-they have never ceased to surprise “Remember Palin” lol I think both parties should take the state money and go own a Permanent Vacation and let the rest of us work this out amongst ourselves (save the Army) lol
I must be getting tired…. =P
Yeah, I would love to see some extensive electoral reform so as to enable voters to support third parties and independents without throwing their votes away. It’s the winner take all nature of our system that makes that an unrealistic option at this time. Perhaps a system where you rank the candidates rather than cast a single vote would do the trick.
Sounds like a plan where do I sign? lol
I’m afraid you’ll need to travel to Never-Never Land to sign that petition.
yeah and maybe you’ll meet MJ there with Peter Pan and therefore exact a plan to “Heal the World” lol
However it appears the Egyptians know how to take care of business.
I’m off to bed and some reading. Catch ya soon.
This gets to me every time.
Great blog! I look forward to many, more thought provoking posts.
Drop in anytime as I stated before, ALL knowledge is welcomed. Thanks for stopping in.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on amway global scam.
Regards
No a problem. Anytime!
I enjoyed your exposure of the AWOL project. As a new and (admittedly) naive blogger, I wasn’t sure what to think when I saw several new followers, but had suspiciously similar shpills about “living the dream” and all of them looped back to AWOL – some what of a letdown – having thought I had an actual small following, but I wanted to at least double check this AWOL thing and thanks to you, I saved myself time and money 🙂
Tell me about Kara. Usually if its too good to be true then……..
Definitely thanks for commenting and feel free to come again in the future 😉
Thanks for sharing and posting thoughts… I too am someone who has ” loud mind” yet considers all the possible outcome before sharing. ( things can get out of hand at times and become like split milk)
A LOUD MIND doesn’t begin to describe the mayhem that goes on inside my head. lol I’d love to swap stories with ya sometimes. 🙂
Thanks for your reply.
Yes, I’d like that very much… at the moment I’m bit tied up with my kids. Getting ready for Winter and Flu season.
I’m a stay home mom… taking all the golden opportunities to create and celebrate childhood memories with my kids. 🙂 Blogging became my therapy… How did you start blogging?
Oh Gosh, for as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to BLOG but didn’t really know how to get started until I was prompted to create a blog post for a class in my Professional Writing graduate program. The rest is history. Quite frankly with my ADD, it has been a challenge to be consistent with my blog posts, but I intend to do better in the future.
I too am a sort of stay-at-home mom but I substitute teach part time. I am in the process of becoming a certified teacher and opening up a Non Profit so I keep myself busy to say the least. Add to that an ADD 4.5 yo son who is constantly reprimanded at school and life is hell for me-pure and simple…It is a good hell though I guess. More like a whirlwind than hell…lol
